Chapman and Veranda are located right next to each other on the corner of Step Lane and North Water Street. The Regatta and Sherburne Inns, are each located approximately 5-minutes’ walk away and from each other.
The Nantucket Resort Collection offers four distinct inns, each with its unique charm and recent enhancements:
Sherburne Inn
With a legacy spanning over 140 years, the Sherburne Inn provides outstanding comfort and service in a tranquil corner of Nantucket's historic downtown. Guests can enjoy well-appointed rooms featuring luxury linens, plush towels, and spa-quality bath products. The inn's intimate atmosphere is complemented by modern amenities, including individually controlled air conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi. Its prime location offers convenient access to the island's main attractions.
Regatta Inn
Rated as Nantucket's premier bed and breakfast, the Regatta Inn seamlessly blends sumptuous comfort with sophisticated décor. This historic Federal-style mansion boasts 15 rooms, each featuring spa-like en-suite baths adorned with Carrera marble and custom fixtures. Guests can unwind in the bright dining and gathering areas and take advantage of amenities such as ultra-plush beds, air conditioning, and concierge services. The inn's central location ensures a peaceful stay within close proximity to local attractions.
Chapman House
Built in 1830, Chapman House stands out as Nantucket's chic boutique bed and breakfast. The inn harmoniously combines sophisticated design with its historic architecture, offering 15 rooms decorated with modern coastal furnishings. Each room features opulent bathrooms equipped with rainfall showers and glass subway tiles. Amenities include luxury bedding, air conditioning, and pet-friendly accommodations. Guests can relax in the common patio area and enjoy a complimentary breakfast served at Veranda House next door.
Veranda House
Completely reimagined in 2024, Veranda House artfully combines coastal-inspired comfort with sophisticated luxury. This historic Federal-style mansion offers 19 serene rooms designed as coastal havens, each featuring spa-like en-suite baths with Carrera marble, subway-tiled showers, and rainfall showerheads. The inn's bright and airy communal areas provide inviting spaces for relaxation. Amenities include ultra-plush beds, complimentary Wi-Fi, and pet-friendly options. Its central location offers easy access to Nantucket's attractions while providing a peaceful retreat.

Please see the Terms & Conditions of the rate plan you booked for your specific cancellation policy. The cancellation policy for most reservations adheres to the following schedule but may vary depending on the offer or promotion. For all cancellations, regardless of circumstance, we will retain a 10% service charge.
In season (April 1st through the 1st weekend of December), for cancellations made within 30 days of your scheduled arrival, you will be held financially responsible for your entire reservation.
Off-season (2nd week of December through March 31st), for cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled arrival, you will be held financially responsible for your entire reservation.
Changes of reservation date or early departure are treated as cancellations and carry the same fee. You are, however, always welcome to send a friend or a family member in your place. Because we are a small hotel, cancellations affect us significantly; therefore, we must abide by our policy in all circumstances.
If any of the ferry companies offer service to Nantucket on the expected arrival date, guests are expected to arrive as planned, regardless of their planned mode of travel or departure location. If all ferries and flights to/from the island are completely canceled for the entire day, a credit for that night's stay will be issued. Once transportation resumes, guests are expected to arrive for the remainder of their reservation. No credits or refunds will be provided for travel delays, air cancellations, missed connections, or other issues. It is always recommended to keep an eye on the weather for your dates of travel and leave plenty of time in case alternate travel arrangements need to be made. Travel insurance can also be a great resource to cover these scenarios. In the case of a hurricane or severe weather, refunds will only be considered after the storm if two or more nights remain unusable.

Guests arriving on the Hy-Line, Steamship Authority, and Seastreak ferries will find our location central and easily walkable. The walk to any of the inns is 10–15 minutes. You’ll cherish every minute of it – we swear. Taxi cabs are readily available in town, should you choose not to walk with luggage.
Check-in is officially at 3 PM. If you plan to arrive early, we will welcome you with open arms and happily store your bags, prioritize your room with housekeeping, and alert you the moment it is ready. Lobby restrooms are available at the Regatta Inn and at the Veranda House for any guests who might want to change or freshen up when they arrive before their room is ready.
Nantucket can be very congested, and since our properties are so conveniently located in town, we highly encourage guests to leave their cars in America. For those with cars, we have a limited number of parking passes for on-street parking available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you choose to rent a vehicle, check with the rental company, as many of them offer parking passes too.

With over 35 miles of protected bike paths, Nantucket is the perfect destination to pedal your way through! Stop by the Veranda House front desk to check out one of our beach cruisers, complete with a classic Nantucket basket and helmet, of course – safety first! Bikes are complimentary to use for guests at any of our inns, available on a first-come, first-served basis. For guests who might prefer to rent their own bicycle or who are interested in e-bike options, we have many great bike rental shops on the island, including:

We have all the things available at each building for guests to help themselves. We even have small, insulated coolers if you decide to pack a picnic to take your beach day to the next level!
The coolest, most eco-friendly ride in town – our Electric Grey Lady – is a fun way to arrive at any destination between South Wharf and Steps Beach. The Electric Grey Lady offers drop-off service only.
We love well-behaved children and encourage parents to use their best judgment when bringing children to Nantucket. We have cribs and pack & plays that we are happy to provide depending on the age of your little one.
We think all good dogs deserve to come to Nantucket! We welcome pets of all sizes with treats and belly rubs.
There is a $50 per-night pet fee. This includes a comfy dog bed and bowls set up in your room. If you need help with dog-friendly recommendations or arranging dog walking, consider us your pup concierge. We kindly ask that pets are not left unattended in the room. In the event your pet causes a guest disturbance, and we cannot immediately reach you, an additional $300 pet fee will be added to your folio.
Celebrating a special occasion or know a guest that is? We recommend some amazing local retailers that can pick out the perfect item and deliver it directly to the hotel! We will place items as requested in the guest’s room with the appropriate accompaniments (wine glasses, ice bucket, wine opener).
