Nantucket is highly regarded for numerous world-class events and festivals, but few rival the elegance and magnitude of The Nantucket Wine and Food Festival. Leading winemakers and renowned chefs from around the globe come together for a collection of over 50 events, receptions and galas that excite and delight wine & food enthusiasts. Nantucket Wine Festival has become one of the most celebrated wind and food events in the country. The following is a sampling of events that are still available for the 2017 season, the 21st Annual Nantucket Food & Wine Festival:

Nantucket Wine and Food Festival - May 17, 2017

Welcome Reception Greet chefs, winemakers and presenters; get a preview taste of the four-day event; sample the wines of Domaine François Villard, Domaine des Deux Roches, Larkin Wines, Lede Family Wines, Opus One and Flowers Vineyard & Winery.

Nantucket Wine and Food Festival - Thursday May 18, 2017

1.  TOPPER’S Wine Luncheon - Vive La France!

James Finkel of the French American Foundation leads an historic journey through France with food and wine pairings by Toppers Executive Chef Kyle Zachary.

2.  Tasting Wine and Cheese - America Takes on the World

Wine & cheese educator and author Adam Centamore discusses the topic; “Can our New World wine and cheese compete with the Old World?”

3.  Champagne Wishes, Caviar Dreams

Calvisius Caviar, one of the finest caviar producers in Italy, teams up with Champagne Taittinger to present the world’s most extravagant pairing - caviar and champagne; Chef Michael Scelfo of Waypoint prepares dishes featuring Calvisius Caviar.

 4.  Harbor Gala

40 Restaurants and 40 Wineries; the Harbor Gala is the crème de la crème of the Nantucket Wine and Food Festival.

5.  Harbor Breakfast - Friday

Bloody Mary featuring Tito’s Vodka; Mimosa; live demonstrations with celebrity chefs; omelet bar; cheeses; pastries; gourmet bagels; fresh juices and coffee; artisan vendors. (Repeat performance Saturday, May 20th)

6.  "Rosé S'il Vous Plait" Brunch

Rosé Brunch featuring Rosé wines of Provence, Oregon and California; Sacha Lichine of Château d'Esclans, François Matton of Château Minuty, Scott Shull of Raptor Ridge Winery and Chris Hall of Longmeadow Ranch Winery pair up with Chef Will Gilson of Puritan & Co. in Cambridge, MA, and Chefs Justin Shoults and Brian Mercury from Oak + Rowan in Boston.

7.  Le Grand Fromage: Cheese Seminar with L’Espalier’s Louis Risoli

Louis Risoli of L’Espalier in Boston samples artisanal cheeses from around the globe; wines paired by L’Espalier’s Advanced Sommelier Lauren Daddona.

8.  Evening Land Vineyards Wine Tasting

Winemaker Rajat Parr offers tastings of Evening Land Vineyards, which produces world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills.

9.  Champagne et la Mer - Pure Indulgence

Champagne and lobster on Nantucket Harbor; Veuve Clicquot Winemaker Dominique Demarville pairs up with Chef Brooke Vosika, formerly of the Four Seasons, and Chef Irene Li of Mei Mei.

10.  The Paul Hobbs Entourage

Paul Hobbs produces stunning wines; brother Matt Hobbs offers a tasting of select wines from California, Argentina, France, and Armenia.

11.  California Dreamin' NAPA vs. SONOMA SMACKDOWN

Comedian Kevin Flynn of the Nantucket Comedy Festival “discusses” the differences between the Napa and Sonoma wine regions of California.

12.  Hirsch Vineyards Wine Tasting

Winery General Manager Jasmine Hirsch offers a peek into the exquisite and unique wines of world-famous Hirsch Vineyards.

13.  Madeira Seminar: From Our Island to Yours - A Wine Born at Sea

Bartholomew Broadbent, one of the worlds leading authorities on Madeira, educates on this legendary fortified wine and offers tastings of Broadbent Madeira Wines.

14.  Rock 'n' Rhône: Wine Seminar

Wine Educator Philippe Newlin of Duclot la Vinicole & Ivywines and Laurence Féraud from Domaine du Pegau offers tastings of the best of Rhone; Syrah and Viognier wines of the North, Grenache and Châteauneuf-du-Pape of the South.

15.  Bouchard Père et Fils Wine Dinner

Philippe Prost, winemaker of Maison Bouchard Père & Fils for over 25 years, shares the winery’s traditions and innovations; paired with the cuisine of Jody Adams of TRADE and Porto restaurants in Boston.

16.  Pride Mountain Vineyards Wine Dinner

Stuart Bryan and Suzanne Pride from Pride Mountain Vineyards; paired with Chef Terence Feury, of Forty 1˚ North, Newport, RI.

17.  Château Smith Haut Lafitte Wine Dinner

Daniel and Florence Cathiard, owners of the famous Grand Cru Classe De Grave Winery, Smith Haut Lafitte pair up with Chef Keith Pooler of Bergamot in Somerville.

18.  Dujac Grand Cru Burgundy Dinner- Acker Merrall

The best of Dujac wines alongside the cuisine of Chef Geoff Lazlo of Mill Street Bar & Table in Greenwich, CT.

Join Penfolds Vintner Dlynn Proctor offers an education and tasting tour of Penfolds, one of Australia’s oldest and most iconic wineries.

20.  Dames Déjeuner

Women leaders in the world of food and wine unite for a luncheon featuring Chefs Jody Adams and Carolyn Johnson, Sommeliers Lauren Daddona and Marika Vida, Winemakers Laura Catena of Bodega Catena Zapata, Jasmine Hirsch of Hirsch Family Vineyards, Chantal Forthun of Flowers Vineyard and Winery and Laurence Feraud of Domaine du Pegau; honored guest Chef Barbara Lynch is paired with La Grande Dame to toast the inspiring Madame Clicquot - the "Grande Dame of Champagne."
